The food we had was lovely - both tasty and plentiful. The only reservation I have about the food and drink (hence the 3 stars) is the draught beer. The Guinness is usually very poor. I’ve always reverted to one of the lagers as they’re at least drinkable. Am I the only one?

We miss the upstairs reaturant a great loss. 
A quiet area to dine would be our choice away from the hubbub of the bar

Excellent service and the food was very good value for money, we had pie, seasonal veg and chips. Pie had lots of filling, and pastry was just right. Crispy on the top and not too soggy round the sides or bottom. Everyone really enjoyed their meal!

Food came up with very quick service was on warm plates well prepared and hot.

All 5 of us enjoyed our lunch and the friendly atmosphere.

Staff very polite and courteous, and the quality of food and drink served very good.

Arrived early o find reserved table taken so helpful staff suggested moving upstairs which ws less crowded.  A pleasant evening.

Brought two friends for lunch  who hadn't visited before.
We had a very good lunch and enjoyed the surroundings and atmosphere. They were very impressed.
