We had a brilliant time again, the speed of service for the meals is very quick, all the staff are very friendly... just a shame that the Apple pie is taken of the menu

I visited the Club yesterday (8 March) and had the Hake and Baby Potatoes from the revamped menu; absolutely excellent. ??

Toilets could have been cleaner!

Great value for money and fast and friendly service at the bar. The atmosphere was lively on a Friday evening, so booking a table in advance is highly recommended. Service from the reception desk staff was excellent.

At times it got so loud we had to shout to make ourselves heard although sitting less than 1 metre apart

Everything was great . My group loved it and have asked that we book again. One or two may even become members ! How’s that for a recommendation. We wanted to leave the staff a tip but told it had to be cash which was difficult has none of us carried cash in the day . Perhaps that policy could be reviewed ?

I wish the club could expand into next door building. It would be great to have more room. I find the staff so helpful and pleasant. The food is fab. Keep up the great work you all put in, it’s works??

The booking process was as usual very easy and the service was top class. The staff were really helpful. We were a little disappointed to be given a small table at the rear of the bar especially as there was a free table in the open area of the bar.

The people working at the club were super efficient and very polite and engaging, the food was absolutely gorgeous as was the service. Huge thank you to all the team in the background!

Excellent food, great value. Helpful and welcoming staff. I would highly recommend the Civil Service Club for leisure or formal functions. Excellent location and facilities.

We were hoping to get more opportunity to speak to members former and present but we enjoyed the atmosphere regardless. The food was fantastic, I would have liked to see some keg IPAs on tap though.



As a side note - the only way I can book hotels is through our CTM system in the Department for Education. I have seen the Civil Service Club come up there but often this is more than the £150 per night limit - is this because you have to price for non-members? It feels like you might be missing some business from this....

I booked a table for two you allocated one in the deepest corner of the club little light no veiw .at 330 a waitress took our booking sign and added a note new  booking from4pm . X8 ? Without explanation and walked away I called her back she said we would have to vacate in 30mins . She would try and find us a mother table. Very fisapuonted at 4pm she came back gave us a new sign which said 415pm no explanation . We left.

We find the bar too noisy so have our food upstairs in the quiet dining room.  The menu does not change and not that imaginative.  But service is fast and brilliant value for money.

Helpful staff listened to my request to allow my friend to access the club and wait for me. This was very reassuring when I was delayed by the train network. We will meet at the club again. The food, drink and service were also very good.
