Good choice of menu at affordable prices

This was my first stay with you and I was most impressed. The rooms were small but very clean with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a great shower. The food was excellent. Your full English is a treat, with excellent produce. You have an excellent selection of beers and wines at very reasonable prices. The reception and waiting staff were excellent. The location is exceptional. I am heading back on the 23rd August. Well done Civil Service Club

I don’t come up often, but when I do it’s always a pleasure to stay at The Club. Yes, it is basic compared to neighbouring hotels, but great value for money and in a fabulous location.

I love the CS Club - where it is, its value for money and its unpretentious ways. But for me it would be great to see some more vegan options that were more than just off-the-shelf ultra processed fast food options - the pie, the sausages, the vegan bites.  There really is so much more that could be offered that's so easy to prepare, tasty, healthy and low cost.

We were served by Barfin and she was so lovely she really made a sunny day even brighter.

I haven't been a member very long and it was my first full evening with a couple of friends. Barcstaff are friendly and attentive. Food is good and everything at good prices.

Conveniently located and great prices for the area, there’s nothing to dislike. Friendly staff make any visit that much more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

booked the table at the beginning of June. Would had been placed hidden in the corner near the kitchen unless I had checked and asked to be moved to the bar area. The club was empty. If  you book early then you should be placed in the bar area

The sirloin steak is the best meal on the menu.  However, it would be really nice to have a better light bites menu and have things like toasties/panninis, soup, jackets and things like that rather than chicken bites covered in a sauce.  I overheard an elderly lady ask if you did soup once.  The choc fudge cake on the specials was massive.  Too sweet for me!
