Breakfast good but as it wasn't cheap it seemed mean to charge for filter coffee refills. Could have done without having to watch/listen to CITV children's programmes when no children were present! Visit time shown as 1130 but was actually 0730.

Goof friendly service and good food for my 7 guests. The Queen Elizabeth Dining Room is the ideal place to enjoy a Christmas get together.

My family met and had drinks downstairs before transferring to the Queen Elizabeth Dining Room to celebrate my mother’s 89th birthday.



My mum and all our family had a wonderful time together which was made special by all the staff from reception to the bar staff and those looking after us in the restaurant.  We all enjoyed the food.

Food and drink excellent, service good and good value for money.  The magic show we saw was good but as we were right at the back and behind a pillar, we missed quite a bit sadly.

Lovely afternoon spent at civil service club,good good ,value for money,really enjoy coming here.

I love the civil service club and I’ve eaten from the daily menu and had breakfast all of which was wonderful but.. I’ve had two Sunday dinners and on both occasions they have been cold and I had guests with me yesterday and their food was cold too. It was rectified quickly but seems that it’s just Sundays that are a problem. Staff great and restaurant always clean and food normally out of this world x

Great service as usual

There was no heat in the pipes going to the radiator in our bedroom which could have been a problem as forecast is for temperatures to drop

While the food was good and served by friendly and efficient staff, we still preferred the carvery arrangement of some earlier years. All three of us found the plates overloaded which led to a lot of waste. Well done for providing reasonably priced wines.

Visited with my family for the weekend. 6 adults and three children. We had a wonderful weekend, all aspects of the club exceeded our expectations and we have been visiting for over 20 years. We ate in the bar on Saturday night, not wanting Christmas meals in the restaurant and although extremely busy, our reserved table was cleared for our appointed time and the food came out quickly and piping hot. The staff were absolutely brilliant with my grandchildren aged 5 to 10 and we all left with great memories. Thank you all.
