Great place for a bite to eat and drink after work. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is lively.

As a recently joined member, but having visited the Club over a number of years previously, I have always appreciated the value of having this facility in such a central position in London. It offers all round good value, and I have always found the staff to be cheerful and polite; no less so on this visit, where I booked a table in the bar area for a light lunch.

If I can be critical of one thing, it was the sound level of the music being played in the area I was sat, which was between the bar and TV Room. With a lower ceiling, the sound doesn't need to be as high as in the main bar area, where the density of furnishings and patrons absorbs it to a greater degree. I appreciate it may not be possible to set different levels for different areas, but nevertheless something to bear in mind, as it can be intrusive to an otherwise pleasant experience.

Without exception, the food is always delicious, served promptly and great value. Furthermore, the selection of drinks both alcohol and nonalcoholic is excellent, especially the real ales. I will always try and have my meals at the CSC whenever I’m in London, whether that’s with work or socially. I wish I lived nearer than west Wales.
