Staff were very helpful and charming, as usual. Bedroom very hot, so didn't need the radiator on at all - must be the warmer climate in London! Food good and they always do gluten and dairy free for me. However, there was no dairy - free alternative milk - e.g almond, coconut, oat or soya, so I had to drink my tea black and couldn't have any cereal for breakfast. Apart from that we had a very delightful stay.

The up grade has really made a positive change without changing the atmosphere  - well done.

Bar staff very pleasant

Excellent service as always from the bar and reception staff. It doesn't seem to matter who is on duty as the current staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beer and food prices also still very competitive.

It is a shame that the Queen Elizabeth dining room seems to be hardly ever open.

Room not where I thought it was - a plan of the different areas would be useful.



Initial layout not acceptable - low tables. Adjusted when requested.



Six meals ordered.  One came much later than the others.



It was asked if I had an upstairs booking but this did not seem to be an option when I booked.  What was meant?



The TV room does not have the atmosphere of the dining room.  When will the dining room be open more often for lunch?

Staff very helpful. Good exceptional value, with enormous portions. Great evening.

Vegetarian platter was massive and varied, very good, a nice change from chips

My guests were very happy to come with me and want to come again soon so very pleased.

Friendly staff, quick service, tasty meal, table was reserved ready for us. Just what we needed.

We both had the meat pie. And my husband chips were changed to new potatoes with no problems. pie was meat filled and very tasty. Could've done with a bit more gravy but that's personal choice as hubby was fine.
