The Civil Service Club Photography Competition invites our members to capture the character of the UK through the four seasons.
Spring arrives first, full of fresh starts and first blooms. It might be the shimmer of morning dew on new grass, the soft blue haze of bluebells or the gentle chaos of lambs finding their feet. Perhaps it is the moment a bird settles into its nest or the first warm day that feels like a promise.
Summer follows with sunshine, shores and shared moments. Think of long golden evenings, cricket on the green, picnics that stretch lazily into the afternoon, festivals buzzing with life or the hush of a coastal sunset. It is a season that invites joy, colour and connection.
Autumn brings colour, change and quiet beauty. The turning leaves, misty mornings, hedgerow berries, migrating birds and the textured calm of woodland paths. It is a time when the landscape shifts and deepens, offering scenes that feel both familiar and new.
And finally, Winter arrives with stillness, frost and seasonal glow. Frost covered fields, snow softened horizons, dramatic skies, festive lights and wildlife wrapped in winter coats. There is a quiet magic to this season, a sense of pause that invites reflection.
The competition is now open, and we cannot wait to see what you choose to share.
The competition closes on 14 August 2026, and winners will be notified in the first two weeks of September. It is open to Members only, and prizes include: £50 for each category winner, £25 for each runner up, and an additional £100 for the overall winner.
If you are ready to take part, you can explore the Competition Terms and Conditions or click below to enter now.
