A LOVE STORY WALK

Saturday , 14th February 2pm

A Love Story walk: This lovely walk around London becomes a journey through stories of love—past and present—woven into the city’s vibrant streets.

We will hear from love struck lovers to royal romances to dangerous liaisons – we celebrate love in London in all its many forms.  We learn about the origins of Love and reveal the (not so) romantic life of St Valentine and how Geoffrey Chaucer introduced St Valentine’s Day to England.  We hear about the Duchess bought for £1, the love-struck film star (did he get his girl?) and we meet some of the greatest lovers in Western art including a painting in which Cupid is forced to look away!

All this and much more on this romantic wander through London’s streets.

This walk is led by qualified London tour guide, Caroline Mongan, as featured on the BBC and Kathleen Lucey.
