Accommodation Terms and Conditions

General

  1. We require you to settle your bill in full on departure, at the latest. Only food or drink supplied by The Civil Service Club is permitted for consumption in the public areas of our premises.
  1. Confirmed reservations are guaranteed, and your room will be held for you throughout the night if necessary.

Guests

  1. Members may book rooms on behalf of guests but must guarantee the booking and the Club reserves the right to limit the number of rooms.
  1. The confirmation of the booking will only be sent to the member booking the room. Members are responsible for the good behaviour and any charges that their guests may incur.

Check-in

  1. Our bedrooms will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Should you wish to arrive earlier, please let us know and we will endeavour to make sure your room is ready. If this is not possible, your luggage can be stored in the luggage room.

Breakfast

  1. Our room rates include breakfast. Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 11.30am in the ground floor bar. When you arrive for breakfast, please advise the server on the bar of your order and room number.

Check-out

  1. Members and guests must vacate their rooms by 12pm, on the day of departure.

Special requests

  1. We will endeavour to do our best to accommodate any special requests you have entered on the booking form, but we cannot guarantee to meet all such requests. The Club reserves the right to alter rooms without notice.

Cancellation

  1. Cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the arrival date.
  1. The Club will charge the full room rate if a booking is cancelled less than 48 hours before the arrival date or if there is a no show.
  1. Reservations are non-transferable and may not be passed on to others without prior authorisation from the Club.

Damage to the Club’s property

  1. Any damage to property in any bedroom will incur an immediate minimum charge of £50. This includes soiling of bedsheets and other furnishings.

Family rooms and additional beds

  1. Certain bedrooms in our Club have the capacity to accommodate an additional bed (subject to limited availability). These rooms cannot be booked online please contact our reservations team via email or call us at 0207 930 4881 to check the availability.
  1. The supplementary cost for extra beds is £30.00 per night, inclusive of breakfast. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the £30.00 supplement fee when sharing a room with adults.

Baby cots

  1. We offer complimentary use of baby cots. Please make sure to make a request prior to your arrival, as its availability is contingent upon existing reservations. Requests can be made at the time of booking or by contacting our reservations team via email or calling 0207 930 4881.

Smoking and vaping

  1. It is against the Law to smoke or vape anywhere in the Club. Therefore, smoking or vaping anywhere in the club is strictly prohibited except in the allocated smoking area. Members who break the Law may be liable to a £2000 fine and/or have their membership withdrawn. This Law covers all public areas in the Club and includes bedrooms, event rooms and outside the main entrance of the Club.

Lost and found

  1. The Civil Service Club assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us on 0207 930 4881 or email us at reservations@civilserviceclub.org.uk and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.
  1. The Civil Service Club is not responsible for any item left behind by a member or their guest. With the exception of perishable items, left behind and found items will be held for three months before being disposed of.
